Young Learner Privacy
Open Learning Lab is designed for young learners ages 6-9. The app can be used in Guest mode without creating an account. Guest progress stays on the device. Optional Apple or Google sign-in enables cloud sync across devices.
Information We Collect
Guest mode stores learning progress, avatar preferences, pet selections, and settings locally on the device. Signed-in users may provide an email address or Apple Private Relay address, display name, and progress data so the app can sync progress across devices.
On-Device Data
Learning progress, avatar preferences, pet selections, and shop rewards are stored locally using Apple's built-in storage (SwiftData/AppStorage). Guest mode remains local-only. Deleting the app removes Guest data from the device.
No Advertising or Tracking
Open Learning Lab contains zero advertisements. We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party data collection tools. We do not track your child's behavior across apps or websites. There are no cookies, pixels, or fingerprinting technologies used.
Payments
The current app build has no in-app purchases, paid tiers, external payments, or paid unlocks.
Third-Party Services
Open Learning Lab does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies. The Videos tab shows curated educational content and may open YouTube or Safari for external video links.
